Went early for the Spotted Crake - no sighting between 0630 and 1030, but my highlights were:
5 Whinchats
2 Little Stint
3 Ruff
3 Ringed Plover
5 Dunlin
3 Stock Dove
3 Black-tailed Godwit
11 Sand Martin
1 Chiffchaff
1 Kestrel
2 Wheatear
3 Little Grebe and 1 juv
1 Marsh Harrier
2 Yellow Wagtail
3 Pied Wagtail
5 Skylark

Visited Frampton Marsh this afternoon 12.00 to 16.30. Simular result.
Coots - 20+
Common Gulls - 2
Dunlin - 5
Great Crested Grebe - 1
Gold Finches and Linnetts on the seed Heads - 100+
Heron - 1
Lapwings - 20
Little Grebe - 2 + 1 chick
Little Stint - 2 (showing well)
Mallards - 8
Red Shank - 1
Ringed Plover - 1
Ruff - 3
Sand Martins - 30+
Starlings - 20+
Swallows - 5
Wagtail (Pied) - 1
Wagtail (Yellow) - 2
We think we saw the Spotted Crake in the dyke to the right at the top of the Reserve close to the Witham Bank, but cannot be certain - dare not claim it.
