Location: Bracebridge Heath LINCOLN
Good numbers of Partridge spp foraging in the snow-covered field behind our house in Bracebridge Heath today (Sunday) :

6 Grey Partridge - am
Groups of 11 Partridge sp and of 8 Partridge sp c20 yards apart in the gathering gloom pm.

5 red-legged partridge in snow covered rape field near willoughby mid afternoon.
It must be tricky finding food when there is 3-4" snow on top of frozen ground.

6 Red-legged Partridge have been taking berries on our two Leycestria shrubs(Pheasant Berry), but they are now unable to rise to the upper fruits, and a Robin is now gorging.
