Had a good session around Apex Pit, Butterley's Pit, (N Hykeham Pits) and Teal Lake (Whisby NP) today with Dean Nicholson.

No sign of yesterdays Iceland Gull or 'plastic' Red-breasted Goose but the redhead Smew is still present on Teal. However todays highlight were 2 adult Caspian Gulls including the infamous 'Stumpy' on Teal Lake (then later on Apex Pit) the one legged Caspian originally found by Kevin DeRose in Jan 2006. Hopefully the link below will take anyone interested in Stumpy to an article Dean and Kevin wrote for BirdGuides earlier this year. This winter Dean found Stumpy up at Gainsborough Landfill site on Oct 21st and he was present at this site until Nov 22nd. Looks like he might now be 'dining' at Lincoln Tip! (viewable from Teal Lake/Apex Pit). I'll try to post a photo of Stumpy from today a little later if poss.
