More good news for Lincs Waxwing fans - thanks to Trevor Lee of Lincsbirders. For several days now, 3 Waxwings have been feeding on Cotoneaster berries in the front garden area of the mobile/caravan park at 'Country View Park' (by a bus-stop on the A 607), c.200 yards South of Frieston Lakes between Lincoln and Grantham.
I checked out the site early this afternoon (Sat) - parking by the entrance gate (not too close, otherwise it opens automatically). The 3 Waxwings were perched in a sapling across the road from 'Country View Park' and were flying to the front garden to feed on the Cotoneaster berries (6 bushes). There is a plentiful supply of berries to keep the birds interested for several more days. The Waxwings were still there when I left at 2.20pm.
