Decided to have a few hours on the patch having not been anywhere for a fortnight.

A18 between Stockshill Road and Collum Lane my mate spotted a female Peregrine being pestered by three gulls, I did manage a nano second glance 8) .

We arrived on the Black Bank at 1500, the following sightings as follows:

Eastern end I spotted a Peregrine coming towards me at tree height, but Dave was faffing about with his camera and missed it  .

LT Tit - 2 (pics)
Blue Tit - 6
Great Tit - 9 (pics)
Chaffinch - 12
Dunnock - 1
Moorhen - 3
Blackbird - 3
Corvid - c30
GSW - 1 M(pics and video)
Tree Creeper - 1 (pics and video)
Buzzard - 1
Coot - 3
Lapwing - 118
Mute Swan - 21 adult & 4 Juv ( we both checked for Whooper and Bewick but nil )
Heard a goose but couldn't see it so probably on fishing ponds which are out of sight. We left at 1715.

The drain looked to have been dredged out making it wider and likely deeper. Where I have seen Stoat and W Vole in past someone had dumped a load of rubbish down the bank it beggars belief why people do it  It wasn't there on my last visit of 30th Jan'.

Really enjoyed the sun and fresh air for a change. :D

Kind regards

Max and DJ

PS: I've just noticed I'd put the GSW as a female, it was in fact a MALE as my photos would reveal #-o #-o =D>
