Highlights of a rather chilly afternoon were:
Greenland White-fronted Goose - 4 on Reedbed scrape. 2 preening and 2 sleeping Brent Goose - 4000 or so on the grassland Lapwing - maybe upwards of 3000 and making a spectacular sight when in flight together Kestrel - 1 sending the Lapwings up in the air Snipe - 15 looking impressive together - heads going up and down like pistons while foraging! Dunlin - about 100 on the reserve Yellowhammer - 4 cracking male birds on the bird feeders Tree Sparrow - 3 on feeders.
Also, 1 Black-headed Gull with a near-complete chocolate-brown breeding hood.
