Please find below a summary of the last weeks highlights.

14th May
Little Egret Gosberton HighFen

17th May Keisby Wood and edge of Temple Wood
Most of Temple Wood is out of bounds due to forestry operations so I had to content myself to a brief evening visit to the adjacent Keisbu Wood and the edge of Temple Wood abutting the old airfield.

2 Common Buzzards
1 Cuckoo
1 GS Woodpecker
2 Green Woodpeckers
4 pairs of Blackcaps
4 singing Willow Warblers
20 singing Chiffchaffs
1 pair of Common Whitethroat
10+ Long-tailed Tits
1 pair of Willow Tits (Keisby Wood)
1 pair Marsh Tits (Keisby Wood)

18th May Dunsby Fen
1 Grey Heron
1 Little Egret
2 Greylag Geese
1 Lapwing
3 Kestrels
1 Buzzard
4 yellow Wagtails
3 singing Reed Warblers
8 singing Common Whitethroat
3 Tree Sparrows
2 male Reed Buntings

20th May Dunsby Fen
Now 4 singing Reed Warblers, 1 singing Sedge Warbler and 8 singing Whitethroats. Still at least 4 Yellow Wagtails. 1 Turtle Dove.

21st May Callan's Lane Wood
1 Cuckoo
1 Raven
10 singing Chiffchaffs
6 singing Willow warblers
3 singing Garden Warblers
8 singing Blackcaps
2 pairs Marsh Tits
1 pair Willow Tits in same location as last year.
Pair of GS Woodpeckers.
