Great crested grebe 2 with 2 young on the Witham
Grey heron 1
Kestrel 1 male - oddly, the first for four weeks
Hobby 1 in the area
Stock dove 1 sat on a nest in a barn owl box
Turtle dove 1 heard on 7th
Little owl 1 seen on 7th
Tawny owl 1 seen along the Witham being mobbed by blackbirds
Reed warbler 1 heard and seen this evening
Whitethroat, chiffchaff, blackcap and willow warbler all singing in small numbers
Spotted flycatcher 1 on the 8th, at a different site to the one posted by John Watt
Tree sparrow 2 on 7th
