Hi Colin and Sheila,

I was there on August 1 as well, but early (0700 -0830 before work) and saw your Pectoral sandpiper from the 360 hide looking east. It was very distant and due to a bad shoulder I only had my little travel scope and to be honest I talked myself out of the id and the only other birder there at the time was not sure either! But thanks for seeing it I will now tick it!

There were a lot more Ruff when I was there. my highlights below;-

40+ Ruff
1 Whimbrel
1 Spotted Redshank
only 1 Common Redshank
c 50 Black-tailed godwits (probably more as I only went to 360 and reedbed hides).
4 Wood Sandpipers
2 Green Sandpipers
2 Common sandpipers
2 Common Snipe
No LRP's but at least 4 Common Ringed Plovers
c 100 Sand Martins
2 Yellow Wagtails
2 Marsh Harriers (1 as male and one imm.)

Best regards,

Ian
