At 0925, a sub-adult Red Kite flew south from Pye's Hall and continued to head inland between Conisholme and North Somercotes. It was in partial moult of the outer primaries, especially on its left wing, and showed no wing-tags. Other raptors in the Pye's Hall area were singles of Marsh Harrier, Common Buzzard, Kestrel and Peregrine. Very few waders were seen, most notable being a Ruff and a Common Sandpiper. A sub-adult Mediterranean Gull was present with other gulls on realignment pools near Stonebridge and 280 Swallows and 11 Common Swifts flew NW.
