A good afternoon's birding (to remove post-Birdfair Blues) produced the following:
Curlew Sandpiper - 1 seen close-up from the 360 Hide Greenshank - 1 seen on reedbed scrape from pathway Snipe - 5 on scrape outside 360 Hide, and one on the Reedbed Scrape Ringed Plover - 5 at various locations Lapwing - many all over the reserve Redshank - 5 on Reedbed Scrape Godwits - mixture of many Black/Bar-tailed at various locations
Little Egret - 12 seen distantly from 360 Hide Wigeon - 10 on 360 Scrape Marsh Harrier - 1 male hunting over grassland Swallow - many fuelling up for the big migration. Large group on wires just outside the reserve. House Martin - ditto as Swallow Finches - large flock, poss. Greenfinch or Linnet seen distantly landing outside East Hide
Outside those - usual. Mute Swan, Canada Goose, Greylag Goose etc....
