A visit down to Pyes this morning at high tide revealed substantial numbers of pipits and buntings on the seawall down to Grainthorpe corner, the saltmarsh being totally covered in seawater. The stars were 15 Lapland Buntings and around 20 Rock Pipits. There was also a fine male Hen Harrier over the managed retreat grassland.
If visiting it may be worth considering access from Horseshoe Point or Grainthorpe Haven as the Stonebridge car park is likely to problematic this weekend because of the seal situation.
