A brief bike ride this afternoon produced the following on the South Forty Foot Drain at Chain Bridge, Boston:

Great Crested Grebe - 3 pairs feeding, 1 pair of which were courting
Little Grebe - pair on the townward side. I think this is the first time I've seen Little Grebes on the Drain.
Tufted Duck - 7
Cormorant - 1 over flying S-N.
Mallard - 10
Mute Swan - 1 pair
Black-headed Gull - 15, most non-breeding sub-adults
Herring Gull - 1 Juvenile over
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 N-S over Drain.
Goldfinch - flock of 6 S-N over Drain.
Woodpigeon - 10.
