A level question:
A Terek Sandpiper is on the banks of Covenham Reservoir, its location is known; 300 people arrive to see the bird; this is the third record for Lincolnshire
A Black Stork is seen near Horncastle in perfect habitat; this is also the third record for Lincolnshire; as the bird is not tied down but needs looking for two birders search for the bird
There is sometimes a reluctance by people who spend long hours searching for rare birds to make public their very infrequent finds of rare species
Could there be a connection between the two events -- discuss
A cracking singing male Marsh Warbler was a nice bit of compensation for one of the searchers
Note the location given for the recordings on xeno canto is not the exact location of the bird but has been moved to protect a potential breeding bird
