Request from Kayleigh Brookes (Rutland Osprey Project)

There has recently been ospreys reported at Donna Nook and Horseshoe Point.

I was wondering if you could please tell me whether these birds are ringed? If so, is it possible to read the numbers/letters? It would be great to know whether they are Rutland birds.

Thank you very much, Kayleigh Brookes.

The two I saw were about a mile away and you could just make out they were Ospreys, no chance of seeing any rings.
Maybe others had more luck.

Unfortunately I never viewed them close enough to see if either of them were ringed. No sign of either bird yesterday evening in strong northerly winds

Regards

Chris

I've not seen either bird at short enough range to determine rings. Neither bird appeared to be present this afternoon.
