Woke up late this morning and wasn't going to do patch visit as too many people would have been out but decided to give it an hours sprint round and was glad I did.
Wind made it very difficult to hear any birds in the trees / hedges so missed some of the usual bits but highlights were:-
1 adult and 1 Juv Common Terns - regretted not taking camera as they both landed on staging near the shore
2 Swift
2 Sand Martin
5 or 6 House Martins
1 Swallow
3m Tufted Ducks (male not million
)
5 Whitethroat (think that 4 were a family party)
Sparrowhawk
40+ Speckled Wood (in 2 different areas)
More darters etc than have seen for a while but only ones IDed were a female Broad-bodied Chaser and male Common Darter
