29 Dec South Kyme - south side of Kyme Eau opposite the golf course up to Terry Booth farm 3-5pm
1 kestrel
Flock of around 80 chaffinches at first wood you reach
2 buzzards at first wooded area
1 barn owl mainly on south side
2 short eared owls mainly on north side working the new tree planing areas by the big chicken units
27 mute swans at Terry Booth farm + around 10 others elsewhere on the river.
Approx 20 lapwings and 2 hares just after TB farm
Usual moorhens, coots, mallard and one heron
On return 2 buzzards going to roost
31 Dec same location and time
1 buzzard on ground in first field to south then disturbed by dogs
Flock of chaffinches as above on both sides of river by the first wood
1 male hen harrier working east to west and lost sight of it once it reached the South Kyme to A17 road
1 Barn owl on south side then went to north side and gradually headed to golf course
1 Short eared owl on north side on new planting by chicken units
1 heron plus the usual ducks, swans, coots and moorhens
