Mill Moor Estate, North Hykeham.

Had to do a double take on route to the Doctors this afternoon. Two Little Egrets feeding in a ditch, accompanied by an unidentified wader sp. and one Little Egret over heading North. I have seen the odd one singularly here before, over the last year. Will have a look with bins tomorrow!

Green Sandpiper was the previously unidentified wader! Also Two Little Egrets again, this afternoon/evening.

In my excitement I had forgotten to mention, massive thanks to Andy Sims for confirming the ID for me, actually my first Green Sand and a truly unexpected locally wintering bird (in such urban surroundings!).
