The Lincolnshire Bird Club

I am able to amend my Donna Nook Brent Goose flock estimate for 20th February. Initially I had posted that ca. 1,200 birds were on the pools in the NW corner of the realignment area. Another flock of ca. 200 was also on the shore near Pye's Hall. Fortunately, I photographed all of these birds and knowing how flocks of geese are among the best candidates for my own personal underestimation, I decided to count them accurately. The main flock comprised 1,380 birds and the smaller flock 247 to give a total of 1,627 which is my highest count, so far, this winter.
