While waiting for breakfast to cook spotted what looked like a gull going away from me towards the old school then it turned and came back a short distance and was turning this way and that, with the sun shining on it could clearly see it was an Osprey! Would have liked to have fetched the camera but knew I would lose sight of the bird as it soared higher, so just kept the bins on it till it disappeared going north towards the edge of town.

Thats a second sighting of one over garden in four years I believe.
