Set out this morning later than hoped and with little enthusiasm but in the end enjoyed a couple of hours round the patch.

Noticeable that most of the warblers seemed to have disappeared though 1 or 2 remained.

Highlights included -

Whinchat - 1
Great Spotted Woodpecker -1
Tufted Duck - 6
Reed Warbler - 2
Mute Swan - female and 5 young plus 3 other adults
Coot - 12
Moorhen - 2
Yellow Wagtail - 1 over
Meadow Pipits - 2+
Grey Heron - 3
BHG - ca50
Chiffchaff - 2+

Also 2 Common Blue, 1 Red Admiral, 40+ Speckled Woods and several dragonflies.
