A 3-hour trip this afternoon sadly produced no migrational species. Target birds were Fieldfare, Redwing, Firecrest, Shore Lark and Snow Bunting. Alas, found none of them.
However, a good mix of waders on the shoreline and on the scrapes. Avocet, Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew, Redshank, Knot, Sanderling and a passing Oystercatcher. About 20 Goldfinches in trees near the feeding station, a Robin using one of the feeding platforms along with two quarreling Grey Squirrels. A Rabbit was seen between the coast and Mere Hide.
A brief visit from a Marsh Harrier sent everything into flight during the time I was watching the scrapes. Good numbers of Teal were resting on the scrapes, along with Mallard and Shoveler. A few Tufted Ducks were mixed in. Just before departure, I saw a pipit of some description fly up out of the land adjacent to the car park.
