I seem to attract interesting birds when I am on a local rail journey although I have not been
out too frequently recently
because of health problems. However yesterday morning proved to be very interesting.

Between Heckington and Sleaford I recorded no less than 3 Buzzards low over arable fields
and just before the level crossing at Kirkby Laythorpe
our train flushed a Stonechat from the top of a lineside bush.
There was also a flock of Fieldfares about 40 in total at Quarrington near Rauceby station.

I see those buzzards near Sleaford on approx. 60-70% of the railway journeys I make, George!
