Just a couple of visits to local sites today produced the following sightings ;-
Hartsholme Lake - 9 Little egrets roosting on the Island
Blackmoor Bridge - The recent rain has restored the water back up to normal winter levels.
3 Buzzards , 100 + Wigeon , 3 Mallard , 7 Teal , 3 Pied wagtails 31 Greylags.
Whisby Nature Park - Away from the Dogs , kids etc around the visitor centre area.
Willow Lake - Masses of Gadwall , Wigeon , Only 1 Great Crested Grebe seen , a small party of redwings in the trees .
Teal Lake - 7 GBB Gulls, 11 common Gulls , 3 Herring gulls, 2 female Goldeneye, 17 Cormorants , 11 shoveler, 11 mute swans , 27 Lapwing .
Grebe lake - Usual suspects - Teal 40 + , Tufted Duck 30+ Gadwall 30 + , Goldeneye 1 m +2 f,
Thorpe Lake Minimum of 9 Snipe on the islands in front of the 'Hut ' .
At all sites there seemed to be a distinct lack of passerines .
