Re the lower end of South Sea Lane (where I once saw a yellow-browed warbler :D )

The field that used to accommodate the former RAF/radar station/ Tertia Trust has been earmarked for redevelopment with 51 static caravans.

The application to North East Lincolnshire Council is supported by an ecological assessment.

Often these types of survey sell out birds/wildlife because the ecologist does not want to reduce the prospect of planning consent for fear of incurring the displeasure of the developer who commissioned the assessment. (He who pays the piper calls the tune etc).

In this case, however, Laura Dennis of consultancy Tyler Grange has completed a comprehensive, fair and honest appraisal (link below) . Credit it to her for recommending measures that should ensure biodiversity is not compromised.
