Waxwings are still around the Tentercroft Street area for their 14th day, but during my visit this morning (Sunday) 10.30 - 11.00, only 3 actually perched in the usual 2 Rowan trees (berries much depleted). However, 32 birds were perched in the tall trees at the back of the Lincoln Court Buildings behind the private Car Park on the other side of the road from the large public Car Park. Small groups were continually peeling off and dropping down into a back garden/open area to the right and out of sight before returning to the main perched flock - presumably to another berry source. Only one other birder around (non LBC). NB: Pavements VERY slippery.
Regards,
Freddy
