I got there at about 4.30 and stayed until at least 6.30 and there was no sign of them,several people searched the area between the RAF base and Grainthorpe Haven,but to no avail.The birds have been present for at least 2 day's,being seen yesterday evening and again this morning by a local farmer,who let Steve Lorand know and Steve didn't see them until this afternoon heading in the direction of Pye's and that was the last sighting.The birds could still be in the area as the weather on site wasn't particularly brilliant and they could have been sheltering.No doubt they will turn up at Spurn tomorrow.The only unusual sighting we had was a drake Mandarin!. still no sign by 20:00 when the weather was bright and sunny but very windy -- will be feeding at Barton tomorrow! |

Birdguides report that at 10.25am today (Monday) : " Three European Bee-eaters flew South along the seawall at Humberston Fitties. " Regards, Freddy |

No sign at Pyes this morning. There were about a doz Brent Geese on the marsh. |

No sign of them up to about 4pm in the Grainthorpe-Stonebridge area with several people looking for several hours. Cheers. Rick |
