On the 19th visual migration was pretty good with 2850 Swallows, 700 House and 65 Sand Martins through along with a single Swift. There were six Sparrowhawks through, including 3 in-off the Humber. Two Arctic Skuas were blogging about offshore. In the evening a Pied Flycatcher was at Stonebridge.
A very large up channel movement of terns from dawn on the 20th on the very high tide, with 6500 Common Terns and at least a dozen Arctics. A Ruff flew over and there was a small increase in migrants in the bushes with another Pied Flycatcher the first Chiffchaff of the autumn and 10 Willow Warblers. James
