Apart from the many thousands of Knot at high tide, estimates 40,000 the reserve was pretty quiet first thing this morning. Plenty of Sanderling on Beach with Ringed Plover and Dunlin. Highlights 1 Fulmar close in South Tennysons 1 Spotted Redshank 1 Common Sandpiper 1 Green Sandpiper 1 Ruff 1 Avocet 2 Common Tern 4 Snipe 1 Dunlin Mere 2 Green Sandpiper 7 Greenshank 4 Redshank Fenland 1 Grey Plover 8 Greenshank Lills Hut 2 Wheatear 10+ Whimbrel over saltmarsh 2+ Little Egret |
