Alkborough flat am;11.00hrs) well flooded,2 hrs later same,must take forever to go down,the river was going out fast enough, Humber hide; 1 Peregrine having dogfight with a Marsh harrier, 6 Marsh harriers in total,seen. 2 Spoonbills,6 little egrets seen but must be more as i did not go round the flats to the north side. Black Bank;-no sign of Osprey,never seen it on my own 6,7?visits only once in a mini gale. Messingham SQ:afternoon.; 1 Greenshank 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Hobby on leaving hawking insects round conifer plantation. talking of fire recently a huge plume of smoke seen also coming from hemswell,canada mike says its a plastic"s place.one hell of a fire.
