From now on, I think I'm going to head out to Witham Mouth until the scrapes at Frampton have a higher water level. Went out to Tabs Head to see the waders instead, and before I had a heavy fall and badly twisted my ankle I saw a few thousand Oystercatchers streaming in to the Welland side of the head, lots of Dunlin, Knot, Curlew, Redshank, about 20 Little Egrets and a lovely large skein of Pinkfeet heading north-west. Right ankle swelling up nicely, and it looks as though it's pregnant! |

I agree, Katherine. I had a cold and disappointing day at Frampton yesterday. Richard........ |

The scrapes and reedbed (especially) aren't likely to get much more water until November onwards when our abstraction licence recommences. John |
