Visit there today 1.30-4.30pm, warm but not a glint of sunshine ![]() 4 Barn Owl ( all seen together at the same time - one in particular was very vocal when it spotted me on 4 occasions within about half an hour) 1 Sparrowhawk 2 Kestrel 2 Marsh Harrier 100+ Fieldfare (very vocal) 16 Redwing 10 Goldfinch c100 Lapwing 2 Pied Wagtail 2 Wren 1 Robin When I was watching one of the Barnies, it dropped to the ground onto prey and as I was watching it through my bins, I spotted a Sparrowhawk coming from behind it inches off the ground and they both had a bit of a scrap. I have only ever seen Kestrels doing this, first time I have witnessed it happening with a Sparrowhawk. Mandy |
