Cold and mainly cloudy, occasional brief sunny intervals

1 Cettis Warbler (Ness)
3 Bittern (great views)
2 Goldeneye (hotel pit) -males
Drake Smew (hotel pit)
2 Bearded Tit (Ness)
1 Water Rail

plus the usual

Several black tailed godwit, golden plover and dunlin on Chowder Ness
A couple I was in the hide with reported 4 bitterns - I was happy with the two I saw!!!
Two lesser black backed gulls on the river

At least 3 Bittern today(2 Ness Lake and 1 B.reedbed)
2 Peregrine(On the Humber Bridge)
Male Smew(Target Lake),along with 100 Tufties and 85 Pochard.
Stunning views of male B.Tit at B.reedbed.
