Yesterday afternoon I was alerted by a tractor driver rolling a field in Dunsby Fen to a strange looking bird. I hopped on board and saw a Stone Curlew walking in front of the tractor. Refound it later with Nick Williams who got a reasonable photo despite the rain and darkness. No sign of it today despite diligent scanning but 200 Lapwings, 1 Golden Plover and a Peregrine over the same field. Hugh Dorrington |
