10am-3.45pm. Only a bit of sunshine here and there and last few hours overcast, cold and windy!!

Half an hour after I got home, I got a message to say there was an Osprey on Pursuit Pit! Typical!

Other sightings of note:

11 Willow Tit (the largest count I have had in one visit, 3 groups in various areas of reserve)
1 GS Woodpecker
2 Bearded Tit
2 Cettis Warbler
1 Willow Warbler
plus the usual

Mandy,
That is an exceptional number of Willow Tits. It bodes well in the Far Ings area for a species that is rapidly declining throughout the UK.

Yes I was amazed to see so many, adult and well as juveniles so I think they have done ok on the reserve this year. They were all very vocal too which alerted me to them all. Great little birds :D
