Post subject:  great grey shrike

Great Grey Shrike in the vicinity of the sleeper track from midday at Gibraltar Point - a problem for those without wellies was that the track over the saltmarsh was flooded

Good numbers of siskin, willow warbler and chiffchaff

1 wheatear with 1 leg

Tim ringed 5 or 6 goldcrest and 4 song thrush while I was watching. It makes you wonder about the numbers on the reserve

At least 100 brambling in a flock in bushes near Lils hut and another 30 or so in the plantation
Big numbers of robins, goldfinch, chaffinch, song thrushes and redwing

Several redstart, ring ouzel, the odd pied flycatcher I was told about but didn't see
