First Siskins of the winter in at Westgate Fields today, flock of around 60 at 2.30pm.
Raithby Lake was pretty frozen up but is usually worth a look in hard conditions. The snow was up to the top of my wellies and when I got there it was snowing so hard I couldn't see anything at all but I could swear I heard a Dunlin call. I waited 20 mins or so and the snow stopped falling and there was a Dunlin, the 2nd for Louth according to The Birds of Louth and a Louth tick for me and a new species for TF38 for the winter atlas.
Also 120 Teal and 12 Mallard.
