A monthly update of the number of days peregrine present on St.James, Louth.

The three birds on the tower didn't last long, just 2-3 days. However, when the pair are present, they roost close together.

August: male 15 days + pair 1 day.
September: male 17 days (calling most days) + pair 2 days.
October: male 16 days (calling most days) + pair 9 days (performing spectacular display flights with raucous calling by both).
November: male 17 days (seen carrying prey on 1 day) + pair 5 days + 3 on 2 days.

December report at end of month. Note, the birds may have been present more frequently, but not recorded by us.

And one today (to add to your Dec totals) chasing pigeons round the malt kiln where peregrines are being seen regularly

Perhaps one of the pair seen this morning on St James. One left early, the other hung around for most of the day (probably frozen to the spot!).
