This evening a Woodcock flew into our garden in Normanby to feed under the Birch tree where the snow is not too deep for a few minutes before flying off.

I've had them fly past the garden on a few occasions but this is the first time we've had one actually in the garden. They must be really struggling to find feeding areas in these weather conditions. Hope the French Woodcock shooters reported on the news today as struggling to find any birds in the snow up in Scotland don't read this.

regards

Wayne

It flew in at about 4.00pm, so unfortunately it was too dark for any photos
