Post subject:  Whisby; Teal Lake this afternoon

Got a phone call this afternoon from Dean and Nicola Nicholson to say there was a Red-breasted Goose on Teal Lake! Its got a red ring on one of its legs so don't get too excited!

By the time I got to Teal Lake, Dean and Nicola had picked up on a female Smew and we later found an adult Iceland Gull in amongst the many Larids. In addition a supporting cast of adult Yellow-legged Gull and a Little Egret looking very out of place stood on the ice!

My camera wasn't functioning quite right in the cold, but I'll post some very poor digi-scoped images of the R-b Goose and I Gull later.

Regards

Grahame, Dean and Nicola
