On the school run I was gobsmacked as a barn owl flew in passed the bus station in Barton and along Castledyke. I instinctively crouched, pointed and stated, "barn owl!" I looked around for shared amazement amongst fellow school runners. trudge, trudge they went and the owl negotiated back gardens and was away. |
