A note from B. Herriott of Boston:

I don't know if anyone does the same as I do sometimes but to look along the River Haven when crossing the foot bridge over to the police station from church street Boston it's surprising what you can find. Although I had no bins with me there was a grey wagtail and also a red necked grebe, 24th DEC mid afternoon.

been looking the last couple of days, no luck with the grebe, but there has been a decent variety making use of the unfrozen mud and river such as dunlins, redshank, turnstone, lapwings, grey plover, goldeneye, pochard, plenty of cormorants and the usual peregrine

cheers
Paul

I was there shopping at that particular time, and had my bins on me. ..... I feel.... well...
