Failed to see G W Egret or Smew at Kirkby pits so headed for Freiston Shore. On the way saw about 25 yellowhammers with 3 Chaffinch and 2 Reed Bunting on Wood Enderby Road Haltham. (Ref TF 258 640) At Freiston Shore About 30 Curlew on wetland 10 Goldeneye 15 Pintail 1 Little Grebe 1 Barn Owl quartering bank at East end of lagoon 4.45-5.05pm 1 Short Eared Owl on the same bank 5.00-5.15pm + settled on fence post |
