Called in mid morning on a detour while en route to Bempton Cliffs with the family. The Osprey was present but I dipped on the Crane. I arrived at about the same time as two lads on Trial bikes who burned down Carr Lane and then right along the Ancholme bank.....Thanks lads.
Having bribed my children with a stop at McDonalds on the way home another detour saw me there again at 8pm. The Crane showed well about 400m North of Carr Lane until 8.30 . The Osprey was not there when I arrived but flew in from the North to its usual perch at 8.20. A Barn Owl was over the adjacent linseed (?) field. A happy ending.
