After a very quiet week with few migrants in the scrub at Saltfleet Haven things have picked up over the last two days. Blackbird, Song Thrush, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap and even the odd Reed Warbler have appeared. However the highlight was a juvenile Barred Warbler which showed well in a Hawthorn bush for a few minutes early this morning before disappearing into the Sea Buckthorn. Later in the morning I tried Pyes Hall but a stiff SW wind had started up and no birds were seen.
