Visit to Fiskerton Fen Thursday 01 September a.m. Main Pit: 2 x Little Egrets, 1 x m Marsh Harrier,2 x unidentified small waders dropped in to a reedy area of the SW Corner - notably one had a brick red breast. Scrapes: Very disappointing - not a single bird on any of the scrapes until just about to go when a single Green Sand dropped in. Rushes look like they have been topped and plenty of presumed food items have been deposited around the margins of several of the pools. Matthew. |
