Just for information. A female Peregrine has been in residence on Boston Stump for some time, and is now occasionally joined by a male. Just in case they decide to make Boston their permanent home, Bob Sheppard has now made a nest tray, which I helped him install last week (Thanks also to the two stone masons who helped lug all the materials and tools up the tower). I've put a couple of photos on the general birding section of the album. Please keep us informed of regular sightings of Peregrines.

Thanks,

Alan

Many years ago, I had the dubious "pleasure" of ascending to the top of the Stump on the open lead roof - very scary ! If a pair does settle, they will have plenty of local pigeons to nosh plus an excellent Peregrines-eye view of the Wash. Its always seemed a perfect spot for an eyrie to me, lets hope they like the look of the new Shepherd Box,

Phil
