black necked grebe associating with little grebe green sandpiper 1 little egret my first on this site red crested pochard 1 pair perhaps the same pair that were at Swanholme/Hartsholme impressive gull roost by the time I left - but nothing out of the ordinary that I could find goldeneye 3 males and about double number in females |

Both lakes visited between 12.30 - 14.30 today Friday 2nd with the following present. Large Lake 1 Green Sandpiper 1 Black Necked Grebe 2 Little Grebe 8 GC Grebe 8 Goldeneye 4 Mute Swan 1 Little Egret 2 Shoveler plus lots of Pochard,Mallard,Tufted Duck,Wigeon,Gadwell also in surrounding trees/bushes 17 Redwing,3 Bullfinch Small Lake 6 RC Pochard 2 Little Egret 8 Little Grebe 1 Kestral plus again lots of ducks as above. Bassingham Sewage Plant 30+ Pied Wagtail 6 Chaffinch Mark |
