Just had a call from Steve Lorand who is doing a WEBS count at Saltfleet Haven this morning. He currently has 3 Glossy Ibis's feeding in the grass field just behind the dunes, viewable from the track on the north side of Saltfleet Haven. |

Went down with John Clarkson and the birds were feeding by the pool against the track on north side of Saltfleet Haven at 9.25, but flighty and disturbed by dog walkers. They flushed to the SW and we followed them by car down to Sea View from where we saw them flying SW over Rimac bridge at 10.15. We searched the area to the pumping station on Theddlethorpe road but could not relocate them. Hopefully they will turn up somewhere in Lincs later today. JRC has photos and will hopefully post them. |

They flew down the East Dunes at Gib and out to Norfolk at 1130. |

First seen today about 10:30, they are flighty but showing well (There are a lot of dog walkers around now that the caravan site has reopened). On the beach are circa 100 Brent Geese. Geoff |

A real shame none of us were able to corroborate yesterdays sighting, but we didnt know there were any GI's in the county until well after they had been seen flying through here. They probably went over my head! I put the Gib sighting out on the basis that they were seen by a reliable observer but have nor received exact details from him yet. If anyone sees them heading our way again please let us know ! Glossy Inis would be a Gib mega ! and they are only ever seen here by people that don't carry mobile phones ! Thanks Kev |

Not much chance of GI today as the resort seemed deserted. I was amazed at what the tide is doing to the coastline close to Greenshank Creek and hopefully the work going on around Shovelers Pool will reap dividends before long |
