First time watching away from garden for two months, and only did this cos I went to Kirton G C. Grid Ref: SE8604 PM Swallow - 4 Sand Martin - 2 House Martin - 4 Black-head Gull - 1 Linnet - 4 Carr Dyke: 1615 - 1650 Main reason for going other than I love the place ( brings back happy childhood memories) was in the hope of seeing the yearly Yellow Wags, especially after reading the sombre posting by GPC, I found reading that very upsetting and I daresay many others did as well! We had to really struggle to find anything but found the following: Red-leg Partridge - 2, Linnet - 2, Moorhen - 1, Pied Wag - 2, Swallow - 2 and YES a pair of Yellow Wag ![]() Grid Ref: SE8909 Swifts mobbing Sprawk. Yellow Wag - 1f It was good to get out for a change and especially going down Butterwick Road and the extremely fresh farmyard smell ![]() Kind regards John |
